Simola HillClimb '24, Here we come!

We left Gauteng on Tuesday morning (30 April) to head down to Knysna for this years Simola Hillclimb. Our towing vehicle, of course is the Nissan Patrol Black Hawk, which tows like an absolute dream.

Most of the time you forget you're even towing, and its when you keep checking your review mirror are you reminded that there is a race car on the trailer behind.

The journey was very relaxed except for the hundred's of stop and goes (ok might have exaggerated about the hundred's, but felt like it.) but sitting in the Black Hawk is like flying first class, comfort and entertainment all around.

Driving through the Western Cape is really stunning with amazing scenery appearing after every bend.

In particular the drive through the Outeniqua Pass through to Knsyna is jaw dropping beautiful, and you find yourself quietly hoping it was a longer drive.

We met a lot of our competitors, friends and supporters on our way down to the town of Knysna, always nice to have a quick chat with old friends and catch up.

It is now time to put our two race cars in the garage do a few final checks, then we wait for Saturday and for racing to begin.
